Business Cards

Baseball

A baseball as a business card would be ideal because it would be very practical. It is a representation of the occupation as well as being something that can be used. To make this picture, I took a picture of a ball from the internet and a picture of the New York Yankees logo from the internet. I cut out the logo and put it on the ball and aligned it with the ball. Then I used the text tool to write my name and occupation. I then gave the text an arc and aligned it with the ball. I changed the opacity on both the symbol and the words to make it blend better with the ball.

Popsicle

My intent for this business card was for it to look like a popsicle and to have my contact information on the popsicle stick, similar to how many popsicle sticks have jokes on them. I took a picture of a popsicle from the internet and a picture of a popsicle stick from the internet. I cut them both out, resized them, rotated them and stuck them together on new background. I took the Popsicle logo from the internet, cut it out and put it on the stick. I then typed my contact information out and lined it up on the stick. I changed the opacity in my text and the Popsicle logo to make it blend better with the popsicle stick. I added a rainbow gradient to the background to make it more appealing to the eye and interesting. It is a good representation of popsicles because there are many different and brightly colored popsicles.

Guitar Pick

A guitar pick as a business card, similar to the baseball, is a practical idea because it represents the job but is also something that people can use. I found a picture of the front and back of a guitar pick on the internet. They both had logos on them, so I used the clone tool to erase those logos. I then found a picture of the Bahamian flag, since I am from the Bahamas. I cut it out and placed it on the back side of the pick. Then I found a picture of a guitar and placed it on top of the flag. I selected the outline and deleted it so that all that was left was the selection. I chose my flag layer, inverted the selection and pressed delete which left me with the flag in the shape of the guitar. I then stroked the guitar in white and resized and repositioned it.  I used a filter on the guitar to make the picture more interesting. I used the text tool to add my contact information on the front side of the pick. I changed the font to something I thought more suitable. I changed the opacity in both the guitar and the text to make it blend better with the pick.
